McAllister Bobblehead Giveaway Moved to August 27

  The Peoria Chiefs have announced a change in the promotional schedule due to shipping issues from China. The Zach McAllister bobblehead giveaway, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 23, will now take place on Wednesday, August 27.

      The bobblehead, which features McAllister in his IVC High School uniform, is presented by Busey Bank and will be given away to the first 1,000 fans through the gates on Wednesday night. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with the game against Beloit starting at 6:30 p.m.

      McAllister, a member of the Cleveland Indians organization, has pitched at both the MLB level and for Triple-A Columbus this season while also making a rehab start in the Midwest League for Lake County. In 14 starts with the Indians in 2014 he is 3-6 with a 5.91 ERA. McAllister has made nine Triple-A starts going 6-1 with a 1.95 ERA. Overall since making his MLB debut in 2011 with the Indians, McAlister has made 64 starts in Cleveland with 18 wins. 

     Wednesday, August 27 starts the Chiefs final regular season homestand of 2014 with a three-game series against the Beloit Snappers. Wednesday is a Dollar Dog WinsDay presented by Eisenberg Hot Dogs with $1 hot dogs, $1 ice cream sandwiches and $1 sodas.
