Wednesday's Game Rained Out

April 10, 2013

The Wednesday night series finale between the Peoria Chiefs and Beloit Snappers has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up in Beloit when the Chiefs travel there for the first time this season May 8-10. The Snappers do not return to Peoria in the first half of the season.

The Chiefs now head on the road for the first time in 2013 with a four-game weekend series in Quad Cities against the newly Houston Astros affiliated River Bandits. Eight of the players on the Chiefs roster played for Quad Cities last season while two, Michael Swinson and Geoff Klein, were River Bandits in 2011.

With Wednesday's rain out, Peoria will push back their rotation and start RH Kurt Heyer (0-0, 6.00) Thursday night against Quad Cities. The River Bandits are scheduled to start LH Brian Holmes (0-0, 0.00) depending on the status of their Wednesday night game in Burlington. The Chiefs are also scheduled for face former Bradley University RHP Joe Bircher (1-0, 2.00) on Friday night. Thursday's game in Davenport, Iowa begins at 7:00 p.m. and the pre-game show starts at 6:40 p.m. on www.peoriachiefs.com/listenlive which also has downloads for free apps on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android.
