Appleton, Wis. -- The Peoria Chiefs and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers kicked off their second series of the year Tuesday night in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Chiefs took four out of six games in their first six-game set but we’re unable to secure a win tonight as the Timber Rattlers won 3-0.

Pitcher Logan Gragg made his first start of the year and went 3.1 innings and allowed just one run on a third inning sac fly that gave Wisconsin an early 1-0 lead.

The Timber Rattlers scored once in the sixth and carried a 2-0 advantage into the eighth, where the Chiefs threatened to tie the game. After back-to-back singles by Matt Chamberlain and Jhon Torres, a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third with one out. The Chiefs were unable to capitalize, however, and Taylor Floyd collected the final out of the eighth.

Wisconsin scored once more in their half of the eighth and Floyd completed the four-out save to end the contest.

The Chiefs and Timber Rattlers will meet again tomorrow night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Michael YaSenka will be on the mound for Peoria facing off against RHP Zach Mort.
