Peoria, Ill. -- The Chiefs scored in five different innings on Friday and received a quality start from Connor Lunn to win 6-5 in game four of their series with Quad Cities.

Quad Cities scored in the first inning on an RBI single from Tyler Gentry. Later in the inning, Lunn dialed up a double play to hold Quad Cities to one run.

The Chiefs got to Asa Lacy, the fourth overall pick in the 2020 draft, in the first inning on the strength of a two-run homer from Pedro Pages, his third of the year.

After the first inning run, Chiefs starter Connor Lunn settled in. He did not allow a run the rest of the way and went seven innings, the longest outing of the year by a Peoria starter. He struck out four.

The Chiefs offense continued to play add-on in the middle innings., Matt Chamberlain hit his third blast of the year to extend the lead to 3-1. Two innings later, Tyler Reichenborn tripled to center and drove in his ninth run of the year to extend the Peoria lead to 4-1.

Later in the contest, Leandro Cedeno extended his hitting streak to six games with a run-scoring single in the sixth inning. With the bases loaded in the 7th inning, Moises Castillo reached on an infield hit to give Peoria a 6-1 advantage.

Quad Cities rallied late, however. The River Bandits sent eight men to the plate in the eighth and benefited from two Peoria errors, which cut their deficit to 6-3.

In the ninth inning, Vinnie Pasquantino hit his league-leading 11th home run, a two-run shot, to make it 6-5. Chiefs reliever Freddy Pacheco responded with a strikeout of Tyler Gentry to end the contest and pick up the save.
