Selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 30th round of the 2013 MLB Draft out of Notre Dame (AZ) Preparatory High School... Scottsdale, Arizona native spent seven seasons as a Minor League player with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2013-15), Los Angeles Angels (2016, 2019) and Seattle Mariners (2017-18) organizations, reaching Triple-A in 2017 and again in 2019... Scott elected free agency after the 2019 season and signed with Seattle in December 2019, shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and wiped out the 2020 Minor League season... he resigned with Seattle in December 2020 an was assigned to Double-A Arkansas in May 2021 but did not appear in a game... Scott retired on Nov. 7, 2021... served as a coach with Single-A Modesto in 2022... Mariners named him the manager of Everett for the 2023 season... as a player, Scott appeared in 264 career games primarily as a catcher from 2013-19, hitting .162 with nine homers, 65 RBIs, 23 doubles, 109 walks, five stolen bases and 96 runs across 770 at-bats... he made four appearances as a pitcher from 2016-18, going 1-1 with a strikeout and a walk in three innings of relief... as a catcher, he finished with a career fielding percentage of .976 with only 4 errors in 167 2/3 innings behind the plate.
