Celtics first round pick Romeo Langford coming to Hadlock Field

Langord scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the August 20th game

PORTLAND, MAINE - Boston Celtics first-round draft pick Romeo Langford is scheduled to make an appearance at Hadlock Field, presented by Aura, on Tuesday, August 20th, when the Portland Sea Dogs host the Reading Fightin Phils at 7:00 PM. 


PORTLAND, MAINE - Boston Celtics first-round draft pick Romeo Langford is scheduled to make an appearance at Hadlock Field, presented by Aura, on Tuesday, August 20th, when the Portland Sea Dogs host the Reading Fightin Phils at 7:00 PM. 

Langford will throw out the official first-pitch and will be available to sign free autographs on photos provided by the Sea Dogs from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
The Boston Celtics drafted 19-year old Langford with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Indiana University. In 2018, Langford was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week four times and averaged 16.5 points per game, the highest among Big Ten freshmen and the third-highest all-time among Indiana University first-year students, behind Eric Gordon and Mike Woodson.
Langford attended New Albany (Indiana) High School and was crowned Indiana Mr. Basketball of 2018 at the annual IndyStar Sports Awards ceremony. Also, he was named the Boys Athlete of the Year.
The Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have hosted several Celtics players at Hadlock Field over the past several years including Jared Sullinger (2013), Marcus Smart (2014), Kelly Olynyk (2015), Jae Crowder (2016), Brian Scalabrine (2017), and Aron Baynes (2018).
Tickets for the game are available and can be purchased by phone at 207-879-9500, online at www.seadogs.com, and at the Hadlock Field ticket office. Advance tickets range in price between $9.00 and $12.00 for adults and $6.00 to $11.00 for kids (16 and under) and seniors (62 and over).
