Ockimey homers in 4-1 loss at Trenton

Trenton, N.J. - Right-hander Brian Keller (8-7) fanned a season-high nine batters over six innings, leading the Trenton Thunder (59-47) to a 4-1 win over the Portland Sea Dogs (44-61) on Sunday evening at Arm & Hammer Park.

New Jersey native Mike Shawaryn took the loss for the Sea Dogs, allowing just three runs on nine hits (career-high) in six innings pitched.
Keller allowed six hits, one run, no walks and fanned nine, throwing 101 pitches. 
Jordan Foley fired the final three innings, retiring nine of 10 batters to earn his ninth save of the season.
Trenton took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Holder. Shawaryn limited the damage, as the Thunder had the bases loaded and nobody out. In the second, Gosuke Katoh delivered a two-out RBI double to put the Thunder in front 2-0.
Portland cracked the ice in the fourth inning when Josh Ockimey led off with a solo homer, his 14th of the season. Trenton responded, taking a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning on a wild pitch. 
Trey Ball worked the final two innings, yielding one run on three hits and fanned two.
Chad De La Guerra, Ockimey and Austin Rei (triple and double) each had two hits.

The Sea Dogs are off on Monday and return to action on Tuesday night, opening up a six-game homestand against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate), first pitch is 7:00 PM. Radio coverage begins at 6:45 PM on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. MiLB.TV starts at 6:55 PM.
