Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Thunder (20-10) scored four times with two outs in the eighth inning and held on to beat the Portland Sea Dogs (11-20) on Friday night at Arm & Hammer Park. Portland is now 0-6 against Trenton this season.

Portland took a 1-0 leading against winning pitcher Adonis Rosa (1-1) in the third inning. Brett Netzer struck out, but a wild pitch enabled Jhon Nunez to score from third base.
Darwinzon Hernandez (L, 1-2) battled through command issues, walking six batters over three innings but allowed just two runs. Hernandez walked three in the first but also fanned three - all looking. 
Hernandez gave up two runs in the third inning on a ground out and a fielder's choice.
In the eighth inning, former Sea Dog Wendell Rijo nailed a two-run single, and Ben Ruta followed with a two-run triple.
Portland made it interesting in the ninth inning against Daniel Alvarez (S, 3). Cody Asche delivered an RBI double and Luke Tendler had a sac-fly.
Lefty Dominic LoBrutto worked three innings of scoreless relief on two walks and three strikeouts. 1B Joey Curletta went 2-for-4, his first multi-hit game with the Sea Dogs.
The Sea Dogs and Trenton Thunder continue their three-game series on Saturday night with a 7:00 PM start at Arm & Hammer Park. Lefty Dedgar Jimenez (1-2, 4.98) is on the mound for Portland, and Dustin Pedroia is expected to play. Radio coverage on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network begins at 6:45 PM.
