The 'Dogs got rolling in the first inning. Jarren Duran and C.J. Chatham laced back-to-back singles, Joey Curletta drew a walk to load the bases and Marcus Wilson brought two home with a single. Brett Netzer walked to re-load the bases when Jeremy Rivera was hit by a pitch to push Portland to a 3-0 lead, chasing starter Michael Baumann from the game.
Bowie broke the shut out in the fifth inning on an RBI single by T.J. Nichting to cut Portland's lead 3-1.
Konner Wade finished the evening after six innings of work, the lone run after five hits and three strikeouts.
