Addison Russell Named Top Prospect in the California League

Addison Russell was tabbed the Top Prospect for the California League by Baseball America in their annual post-season report. Along with Russell, former Port Max Muncy made the list at #14.

Shortstop Addison Russell, the first round selection (11th overall) in baseball's 2012 draft, hit .275 with 29 doubles, 10 triples, 17 home runs and 21 stolen bases.

First basemen Max Muncy was also were rated among the top players in the league at number 14. Muncy, hit 21 home runs and drove in 76 RBI with a .285 batting average in 93 games. Muncy also sported an impressive .400 on-base percentage with 68 strikeouts and 64 walks before being promoted to Double-A Midland just after the All-Star break.
