No Go: Friday's finale at Asheville canceled

Power and Tourists will not make up game after rainout

(Asheville, NC - May 12, 2017)-   Friday's game between the West Virginia Power and Asheville Tourists was canceled due to rain. The Power and Tourists do not play again this season and the game will not be made up.

Asheville took game one of the series 4-3 and West Virginia took game two by a 2-1 final. The Tourists won three of the five meetings between the teams in 2017.

The Power return home to start a four-game homestand against the Charleston RiverDogs on Saturday, May 13, with a first pitch scheduled for 6:05 P.M. West Virginia will start right-hander Luis Escobar and the RiverDogs will put Nick Green on the mound. Saturday's game is presented by BrickStreet Insurance and will feature the 2017 Charleston Baseball Wall of Fame induction ceremonies and well as post game fireworks.
