(Charleston, WV - July 13, 2017)-  The West Virginia Power could not find a rhythm against the Augusta GreenJackets on Thursday. The visitors have taken the first two games of the series after defeating the Power 6-4.

West Virginia sent Oddy Nunez to the mound after back-to-back strong outings. He allowed one run across on a Michael Bernal RBI single to break open the scoring in the second inning. They ultimately tagged Nunez with four runs after adding three in the top half of the sixth.

The Power tied the game for a brief moment in the home half of the fifth. Adrian Valerio tripled home Garrett Brown from second to tie the game. West Virginia put up some fight in their half of the seventh. Three runs came across capped by a Carlos Munoz RBI double.

West Virginia could not complete the comeback as Augusta used six different pitchers to lock down the victory. Melvin Adon (2-8) was given the victory after five innings, while Nunez (3-6) couldn't get out of the sixth and took the loss.

The two teams square off for the final time in 2017 on Friday night. It's faith and family night with post-game fireworks. Tickets and information can be found online or by calling 304-344-BATS.
