Byrd threw the and a third innings, surrendered five hits, walked two, and allowed a third inning home run to Tanner Murphy.

The Mariners forever took the lead with a two-run fifth inning. Morales started off the inning with a walk, and went on to score on a hit to right field by Georvic Perez, who eventually score on a wild pitch by Carlos Salazar.
