July 23, 2014

The Pulaski Mariners (18-14) left Bristol after taking the first two games of a split series with the Pirates (9-21).

Zack Littell (3-3, 5.50 ERA) brought his season record back to .500 with a superb outing. Littell gave up only one run in the form of a second inning homer by Daniel Arribas. Additionally Littell struck out four.

Estarlyn Morales put the Mariners ahead in the fourth inning with a two-run shot. The Mariners have hit a home run in each of their last four contests.

Bristol made the affair's final line slightly closer with one run in the bottom of the ninth off Trey Cochran-Gill (2-0, 0.00 ERA). Cochran-Gill pitched the final two innings of the game to record his fifth save of the 2014 campaign.

Bristol and Pulaski play once again tomorrow night-this time at Historic Calfee Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
