Pulaski, Va. - The Pulaski Yankees are excited to announce their promotional schedule for the 2018 season, featuring three bobblehead giveaways, 17 theme nights, and three recurring weekly promotions. In conjunction with the promo schedule release, individual game tickets are now on sale online at pulaskiyankees.net.

The promotional schedule begins with the home opener on Friday, June 22 when the first 1,000 fans will receive a 2018 Pulaski Yanks' magnet schedule as part of Opening Night presented by the Travis Team. Opening weekend promotions continue on Sunday, June 24 with the first of two pre-game paint parties presented by Wine & Design. Fans can paint Calf-E, Pulaski's lovable mascot, in an event open to all ages and painters of all skill levels. Separate tickets are required for each pre-game paint party and can be purchased by calling the Pulaski Yankees' box office at (540) 980-1070. The second pre-game paint party features a H.O.M.E. Plate painting with the Pulaski Yanks' logo on August 1.
After the success of last year's Blake Rutherford bobblehead - the first bobblehead giveaway in Pulaski baseball history - the Yankees will offer three bobbles this season. The first bobblehead night occurs on June 30 when the first 500 fans can take home a bobblehead of one of the New York Yankees' top catching prospects Donny Sands, a 2016 Pulaski Yankee. Next, on August 4, the first 500 fans will receive an Estevan Florial bobblehead presented by Collision Plus. Florial, the number two prospect in the Yankees' organization, played in Pulaski in 2016. The final bobblehead of the 2018 season comes as part of an Appalachian League promotion honoring League President Lee Landers with a King of Baseball bobblehead for the first 300 fans on August 24.
The 2018 promo schedule features 17 theme nights, highlighted by Agriculture Night presented by Farm Credit of the Virginias on August 22. The team will wear special cow-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit the Pulaski County 4-H and will also host a petting zoo at the ballpark. On July 16 the rookie-level Yankees will highlight their connection to the New York Yankees and affiliates in the Yankees' farm system on Pinstripe Pride Night when fans wearing New York or affiliate apparel can enter to win prizes from throughout the Yankees' organization, including merchandise, promo items, and signed items. Additionally, dogs will be welcomed to Calfee Park on June 28 as the team hosts Bark in the Park night presented by Town & Country Veterinary Clinic, and the Town of Pulaski will once again provide free general admission tickets on July 4th as the Pulaski Yankees take on the Bluefield Blue Jays.
The Pulaski Yankees will also host several community-focused theme nights, including Heroes Night presented by ServPro (June 29), Calfee Gives: Christmas in July (July 25), Calf-E's Fight Against Cancer (August 13), Military Night (August 17), and Back to School Night (August 18). Additional theme nights include Faith Night presented by Shively Electric (July 10), Not Your Average Friday the 13th (July 13), Meme Night (July 14), Adventure Night presented by Mountain 2 Island (July 26), Star Wars Night (August 3), College Night (August 23), and Fan Appreciation Night (August 24). Full details for each theme night are below.
Thirsty Thursdays return in 2018 and are joined by two new weekly promotions - Taco Tuesdays and Virginia529 Smart Savers Sundays. On all Taco Tuesdays fans can purchase $2 tacos at the Calfee Park concessions stands, a food item not normally offered at the Yanks' ballpark. For all Sunday home games Virginia529 members can receive two (2) free General Admission tickets by showing a valid membership card at the Pulaski Yankees' Box Office.
Live music will also return to Calfee Park in 2018, with a live pre-game concert from local band The Antecedents on July 5 and the second-annual Bluegrass & Baseball event presented by Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center on July 15.
