The Pulaski River Turtles fell to the Greeneville Flyboys, 9-4, on Tuesday night.

Pulaski looked for revenge from the 2021 Championship, but unfortunate errors and inconsistent hitting spoiled that for them. While all four of Pulaski's runs came off home runs, they also struck out a combined 14 times.

A lead-off moonshot to left-center field by OF Christian Smith, his fifth of the year, would start the game's scoring and make it 1-0 after two.

In the top of the fourth, a pair of errors would allow Greeneville to score three and make it 3-1.

The River Turtles would then negate that lead thanks to a two-run homer by OF/2B Ryan Moerman in the bottom of the fifth.

The game-deciding inning would be the sixth where Greeneville's offense exploded, putting up five runs in the frame.

In the eighth, Pulaski would cut into that lead, thanks to a homer by outfielder Alec DeMartino to make it 8-4

Greeneville would then add on an insurance run in the top of the ninth to make the final 9-4.

The wins and losses went to the starting pitchers, with David Vicaino going five innings, allowing four runs and three earned runs while walking one batter and striking out seven. Seth Tomczak also went five, allowing five hits and two earned runs, while walking four and striking out five.

Pulaski will look to tie up the series in a rematch with the Flyboys on Wednesday.
