HIRING: Director of Hospitality and Catering

Position: Director of Hospitality and Catering Reports To: Food and Beverage Director, AGM Baseball Operations, and General Manager Summary: The Director of Hospitality and Catering will oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all baseball and non-baseball events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports To: Food and Beverage Director, AGM Baseball Operations, and General Manager

Summary: The Director of Hospitality and Catering will oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all baseball and non-baseball events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all River Bandits home games and special events.
  • Oversee and ensure Fan/Guest Satisfaction and Experience through delivering a remarkable experience
  • Consult with Director of F&B, Sales Team, Special Events Department & Chef to plan and determine event requirements, including number of guests, picnic/event location and menu
  • Oversee preparation and teardown of the venue for the picnics, suites and special events to ensure correct set up and cleanliness
  • Sets up and arranges tables and chairs, serving stations, lines, tableware, serve ware, and silverware
  • Ensure the venue is clean and that food is handled in a sanitary manner
  • Address problems or complaints concerning food or services provided
  • As required, may assist with scheduling and planning of other aspects of the event, including set up, detail meetings, etc.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and schedule catering staff
  • Ensure that members of the catering staff interact with fans/guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of event planning and catering requirements
  • Ability to work with clients to determine and anticipate needs of the event
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Extensive knowledge of food hygiene.

Education and Experience:

  • One to Three years of experience in food service required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Food Management, Sport Management, or related field required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations
