March 28th Will Be "Dodger Day"
Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Wednesday's night's City Council Meeting brought some exciting news, as Rancho Cucamonga Mayor Dennis Michael and the City Council proclaimed March 28th to be "Dodger Day" in the city of Rancho Cucamonga.
In just one week, on March 28th, the Quakes will face a split-squad Los Angeles Dodgers team in a seven-inning Exhibition Game contest, presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino.
"The City of Rancho Cucamonga, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Baseball and the Los Angeles Dodgers have developed an outstanding partnership that has benefitted our community," said Mayor Dennis Michael. "The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga wishes to celebrate and support the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes versus the Los Angeles Dodgers Exhibition Game and does hereby proclaim March 28th, 2013, as Dodger Day in the City of Rancho Cucamonga."
"The Quakes are honored to have two great partners like the City of Rancho Cucamonga and the Los Angeles Dodgers," said Vice President - General Manager Grant Riddle. "We're excited to celebrate with our community next week."
In honor of the Exhibition Game on the 28th, fans coming to The Epicenter and everywhere in the community, are encouraged to wear blue to celebrate the big day!
Tickets for the Exhibition Game, presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino are sold out, but the game can be heard live on AM 1510 and online at rcquakes.com, with the "Voice of the Quakes" Mike Lindskog. Game time is 6:05pm.
Great seats are still available for Opening Night, as the Quakes open the 2013 regular season at The Epicenter on Thursday, April 4th, taking on the Lake Elsinore Storm. Opening Night will be highlighted by a fantastic Fireworks Show, sponsored by Boston's. Fans will also take home 2013 Magnet Schedules thanks to Allstar KIA and enjoy Thirsty Thursday, with $2 domestic 16-oz drafts and 24-oz Pepsi Products.
