Quakes Take Fifth Straight

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Rehabbing Dodger Adrián González had three hits and drove in two, as the Quakes won their fifth consecutive game on Wednesday night at LoanMart Field, as they downed the Lake Elsinore Storm, 5-2.Dennis Santana started the second game of the series for the Quakes and pitched well.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Rehabbing Dodger Adrián González had three hits and drove in two, as the Quakes won their fifth consecutive game on Wednesday night at LoanMart Field, as they downed the Lake Elsinore Storm, 5-2.
Dennis Santana started the second game of the series for the Quakes and pitched well. He threw five innings, giving up just one unearned run on four hits while striking out five and walking two.
For the second straight night, the Storm started the scoring. Josh Naylor knocked in the game's first run in the bottom of the third inning on a close play. Quakes' right-fielder Luke Raley made a great throw to the plate, but Austin Bousfield just slid his hand in to score the game's first run.
The Quakes answered back in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run double from Gonzalez. It was his first hit in the two games with the Quakes and it gave Rancho a 2-1 lead.
DJ Peters added on in the fifth inning when he smacked a single up the middle with the bases-loaded that scored Will Smith and Logan Forsythe. Gonzalez then scored from third and Peters advanced to third on a throwing error by center-fielder Michael Gettys to make it 5-1, Quakes.
In the eighth inning, Gettys lifted a solo home run to draw the Storm a run closer, but Andrew Istler closed out the night with a double-play to record his third save of the season.
Gonzalez and Forsythe both made their second straight Major League rehab appearance. Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored while Forsythe went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
The Quakes (23-17) go for the sweep on Thursday against the Lake Elsinore Storm (19-21) at 7:05 PM. Right-hander Dean Kremer (1-2) gets the start for the Quakes while the Storm will counter with left-hander Eric Lauer (0-2).
