Allied Services Auction Fast Approaching

Great Sports Items & Packages Benefit Great Cause

Moosic, Pa. - Less than four weeks remain until the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) hold their annual Allied Services Pediatric Program Auction and Autograph party. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on great items that include sports memorabilia, packages from local businesses, and receive their favorite RailRiders' autograph. Best of all, it is for a great cause.

"One of our main goals is to have a positive impact on the community," said RailRiders president and general manager Rob Crain. "The Allied auction benefits a great organization that helps children, and it provides an avenue for folks to not only donate to this great cause, but bid on exciting merchandise and packages too."

The auction is set for Saturday, June 8 and will run from 1-3 p.m. at PNC Field. The proceeds from the auction benefit the annual Allied Services Pediatric Program, which helps children with a variety of physical and developmental challenges achieve with both short and long-term rehabilitation goals, as well as general care programs.

Dozens of items are available at the auction. Sports items include four tickets to a Yankees game in the Legends Club, a signed game-worn jersey by Curtis Granderson, and signed baseballs by players such as Andy Pettitte, Joey Votto, Jason Heyward, and more. Local businesses have also partnered with the RailRiders to include packages and gift certificates.

Fans looking for the autograph of their favorite RailRider will also have the opportunity to purchase a ticket to the autograph event. For five dollars, fans will have access to a table featuring five SWB players. For five more dollars, fans can pick the table to ensure they receive the autograph from their favorite players.

Following the auction, the RailRiders will play host to the Buffalo Bisons (Toronto Blue Jays). Autism Awareness Night will be recognized at the ballpark and the team will be wearing special jerseys designed by Molly Hunt and Amelia Opshinsky. All of the jerseys will be auctioned off during the game, with winners announced following the final out. First pitch on Saturday, June 8, is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
