Hall of Famer, Tim Raines, joins 2018 Legends Series

Four-of-six legends now confirmed for appearances and autograph sessions at PNC Field

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are pleased to announce that Tim Raines has been added to the lineup for the 2018 Legends Series at PNC Field presented by Nasser Limousine in conjunction with Steiner Sports. Raines will appear Saturday, June 9 for a 6:35 p.m.

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are pleased to announce that Tim Raines has been added to the lineup for the 2018 Legends Series at PNC Field presented by Nasser Limousine in conjunction with Steiner Sports. Raines will appear Saturday, June 9 for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the Louisville Bats.

Raines earned All-Star Game selections in each of his first seven full seasons with the Montreal Expos. He won the NL batting title in 1986 with a .334 average, led the league in stolen bases from 1981-1984 and in runs scored in 1983 and 1987. After 13 years in Montreal, Raines was traded to the Chicago White Sox where he played for five seasons before heading to New York. In the Bronx, Raines helped the Yankees to World Series Championships in 1996 and 1998.
During his 23-year career, Raines recorded 2,605 hits, 980 RBI and a .294 batting average. His 808 career stolen bases ranks fifth all-time and he finished his career with the highest SB percentage of any player with 400+ steals.
Raines joins Jose Canseco, Ricky Henderson and John Flaherty on the growing list of baseball legends who will be appearing at PNC Field this season:
Canseco, the 1988 American League Most Valuable Player and a six-time All-Star, is slated to appear Tuesday, June 19. He will participate in a pre-game home run derby contest prior to signing autographs during the game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. 
Henderson, the 1990 American League Most Valuable Player, 10-time All-Star and Hall of Fame inductee, is scheduled to appear at PNC Field on Saturday, June 30, while the RailRiders play against the Pawtucket Red Sox. 
Flaherty, who played three seasons for the New York Yankees 2003-2005 and is a color commentator on Yankees broadcasts for YES Network, and will make an appearance on August 3 when the RailRiders host Buffalo.

The package includes 2 tickets (best available seating) for each of the 6 dates in the plan, admission for 2 into the private 30 minute pre-game Meet and Greet with the Legends before each game date, one (1) Series Signed Item at the end of the season with signatures from each of the six legends.
