Curious George Appearance Highlights Mar. 22 Family Fest

Moosic, Pa. - Curiosity may have killed the cat, but Curious George has entertained countless children. Come Saturday, March 22, and thanks to the good folks at WVIA, The Man with the Yellow Hat's good buddy will be part of the entertainment at PNC Field when the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) hold a Family Fest from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the stadium's Mohegan Sun Club.

The fun goes beyond monkey business too. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a behind-the-scenes tour of PNC Field, which claimed national Ballpark of the Year honors this off-season from Ballpark Digest. Festivities include the opportunity to tour the home and visiting clubhouses as well as the dugouts and the pristine field, weather permitting. The team store, SWB Station, will be open and concessions will be available. Memberships for the Quills Kids Club presented by Hildebrandt Learning Centers will be available for purchase and available seats will be marked for the multiple ticket packages the RailRiders offer. This offers fans the chance to pick their seats for multiple games at great rates - the packages start at only $35.

Please note, Curious George will have 30-minute meet-and-greets at 10:30 a.m.; 11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.; and 1:30 p.m.

Single-game tickets for the 2014 season will also be available for purchase for the first time. The ability to pick and choose from the season's most highly-anticipated contests on the entire 72-game home slate gets underway at 10 a.m. as well. Highlight dates include the April 10 home opener; Mother's Day, May 11; the Fourth of July and many more. Current ticket package holders can beat the rush and get a jump on the action with the privilege of purchasing single-game tickets in advance, online only, beginning March 17.

Team supporters will enjoy one of the premier values in town as standard ticketing will include: $7 seats for the Honda Dealers Homer Zone, $8 for bleacher seats, $10 for field reserve and $12 for infield box seats.

The RailRiders have all the bases covered for the 2014 season chock full of thrilling promotions on a nearly daily basis. The new kid in town this year is the all-new T-shirt Tuesdays and the popular returnees Dollar Dog Mondays, Kids Eat Free Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays and more.

The RailRiders' 2014 season begins on Thursday, April 3 when the club kicks off a seven-game road trip at Syracuse against the Chiefs (Washington Nationals).The home slate commences a week later on Thursday, April 10 when the Chiefs visit PNC Field for a four-game series and homestand.
