Moosic, Pa. - In her less than a year-old existence, PNC Field has already some big-time events. From Derek Jeter rehab games with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees), to the wrap party for "The Office", the seats have been saturated. Come April 26, add the Electric City Brewfest, presented by the RailRiders and Times-Shamrock Communications, to that list.
The expanded Brewfest will encompass the entire PNC Field concourse and its selection will comprise of over 60 craft brews. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter the event. Bonus pieces of the puzzle include a free EC Brewfest sampling glass; beer school and home brewing discussions; the finest craft brews with a number of local brewers participating; and of course, the huge, beautiful venue of PNC Field.
"We've said from day one that we wanted PNC Field to serve as the front porch of NEPA," said RailRiders president/GM Rob Crain. "Now, in association with our partners at Times-Shamrock Communications, we have added another spectacular NEPA event to the growing list of must-see activities that take place here."
Guests may purchase a GA session ticket for in advance for $29. The ticket includes admission from 1:30 p.m.-5 p.m., the sampling glass, bottled water and access to over 60 craft brew samples. Guests may also purchase a VIP session ticket in advance for $49. The VIP ticket includes admission to the Mohegan Sun Club from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. (limit 250) and some special bonuses. The VIP session allows access to an exclusive pre-event Intro to the Brewers; special "limited release" brew samples; free hors d'oeuvres; and a special gift along with over 70 craft brew specials. Day-of ticket purchases for the GA and VIP sessions will go for $40 and $60 respectively.
