RailRiders to Hold Open Practice April 1

Gates Open at 4 p.m., Kids Zone & New In-Park Game Available

Moosic, Pa. - With the team starting the season on the road, NEPA is invited to get a sneak peek of the 2014 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) with a free practice open to the public at PNC Field on April 1 - no fooling. The event will run from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. and the festivities will include more than just International League Hall-of-Famer Dave Miley's latest club.

SWB Station, the team store, will be open and concessions will be available. The inflatable fun of the Kids Zone will be up and running along with one of the latest additions to the PNC Field experience, a boardwalk-like frog bog game known as RibbitRiders. Throughout the practice, fans of all ages will be encouraged to check out every angle of the ballpark, including trying to catch a home run ball or two.

The RailRiders' 2014 season begins on Thursday, April 3 when the club kicks off a seven-game road trip at Syracuse against the Chiefs (Washington Nationals).The home slate commences a week later on Thursday, April 10 when the Chiefs visit PNC Field for a four-game series and homestand.
