Quakes and Dodgers Extend Affiliation

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are pleased to announce that they have agreed to a two-year extension with the Los Angeles Dodgers on their Player Development Contract (PDC), keeping the Quakes and Dodgers as partners through 2018. 

Highlights of the six-season partnership thus far include a Quakes vs. Dodgers Exhibition Game right here at LoanMart Field, countless Dodgers rehabbers, including former MVP and Cy Young Award Winner, Clayton Kershaw, the 2014 Cal League MVP in Corey Seager, numerous former Quakes putting on the Dodgers uniform for their major league debuts, three trips to the California League Playoffs and Rancho Cucamonga's first Cal League title since 1994.

"The Dodgers are a historic franchise in Major League baseball and the Quakes are proud to continue our partnership with them," said Quakes Managing Partner Bobby Brett. 

"We are extremely happy to continue our partnership with the Quakes for two more years," said Director, Player Development Gabe Kapler. "Grant, Brent, their staff, the city of Rancho Cucamonga and Quakes fans work together to create an atmosphere and environment that helps our players develop every day. We are confident that our affiliation will continue to produce outstanding Dodgers player for years to come."

"The last six years have been great and we're excited to continue our partnership with the Dodgers," said Quakes Vice President/General Manager Grant Riddle. "From the Exhibition Game to last year's Cal League Championship Team, the partnership has left our fans with many great memories. Our fans love being able to enjoy watching the top talent in the Dodgers' minor league system on their way to Los Angeles. And with so many rehabbing players that the Dodgers have sent to LoanMart Field over the last six years, it's really been a treat for our fans."

The Quakes are currently in the midst of a six-game home stand and are home at LoanMart Field through Sunday afternoon. Friday night is another Family RV $1 Family Feast Night and Saturday will feature post-game Fireworks thanks to National C.O.R.E. and Nick Jr. Dora the Explorer Night.
