San Bernardino, CA – Despite missing the playoffs in 2021, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes wrapped up the 2021 South Division Crown, as Rancho pummeled Inland Empire on Sunday night, winning 10-0 to complete their final road trip of the year.

The Quakes clicked on all cylinders on Sunday night at San Manuel, as five Rancho pitchers combined to work nine innings of three-hit baseball, while striking out 18 Inland Empire hitters, earning their third shutout of the year.

Nick Nastrini got the start and fanned six over three scoreless frames, while Emmet Sheehan (3-0) struck out a career-best eight over 3.2 innings in the win.

Yeiner Fernandez enjoyed his second three-hit game of the series, as he led Rancho’s 13-hit attack.

Jose Ramos, Imanol Vargas and Kenneth Betancourt all drove in two runs each for the Quakes, who broke open the game early, thanks to a five-run second against Inland starter Conner Van Scoyoc (0-2).
