Six Rawhide Players Named All-Stars

VISALIA, CA- The California League announced today the rosters of the North and South Division All-Star teams for the 2017 California League All-Star Game, to be played in Visalia on June 20th. The All-Star Game, which will be played in Visalia for the first time in 28 years, will feature

VISALIA, CA- The California League announced today the rosters of the North and South Division All-Star teams for the 2017 California League All-Star Game, to be played in Visalia on June 20th. The All-Star Game, which will be played in Visalia for the first time in 28 years, will feature 23 prospects rated in the Top 30 of their respective farm systems by MLB.com. The rosters also feature Colorado Rockies top prospect and #10 MLB prospect INF Brendan Rodgers, Oakland Athletics third-ranked prospect LHP A.J. Puk, and San Diego Padres second-ranked prospect RHP Cal Quantrill.

Visalia will send six players to the All-Star Game: SS Sergio Alcántara , RHP Jose Almonte , LHP Kirby Bellow , 3B/1BMarty Herum , RHP Bud Jeter , and RHP Mason McCullough . The Rawhide will also be represented well by the coaching staff as well, as the California League North All-Stars will be managed by Visalia Manager Shelley Duncan. Duncan will be joined by Pitching Coach Jeff Bajenaru, Hitting Coach Vince Harrison, and Coach Eddie Oropesa, as the coaching staff for the North All-Stars.
Lancaster holds the most All-Star selections with eight representatives playing selected to the All-Star roster, while Modesto, Rancho Cucamonga, Stockton, and Visalia will all send six players to their respective divisions.
Visalia will host the California League All-Star Game and Fan Fest for the first time in 28 years on June 19th and 20th.
