Fightins' Pool Area Entered for "Best Seat in the House" Contest

Fans can vote for Reading Health System Character Pool Party until May 21st for MiLB.com contest

FirstEnergy Stadium's Reading Health System Character Pool Party is up for MiLB.com's "Best Seat in the House" Contest. The contest, which runs until May 21st, pits unique Minor League stadium views from across the country against each other to determine the top view in the minors. Fans can cast an unlimited amount of votes through the randomly generated contest.

Fans can also tweet or post a photo to Instagram with #MiLBBestSeat for a chance to be selected as a Best Seat in the House fan photo finalist and be eligible to win great prizes.

Opened in 2001, the Reading Health System Character Pool Party is an 1000 square foot area located just behind the right field wall with picnic table seating that fits up to 300 guests. Along with a pool that's kept heated at 87 degrees all season long, the area features high-definition flat-screen televisions throughout the area as well as a private bar and private locker rooms. Kids in the area received unlimited access to the nearby Capital BlueCross "Live Fearless" Phunland Area. All guests of the pool area also receive a 2 ½ hour all-you-can-eat buffet.

In 2013, the area relaunched as the Character Pool Party, offering the ultimate family experience at FirstEnergy Stadium. Every game, Fightins characters like the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor, Mascot Band, and Baseballtown Tooth Fairy visit the area to take photos and sign autographs for kids.

Through its 14 seasons at FirstEnergy Stadium, the Reading Health System has earned numerous accolades across the region, including "Best of Philly-New Attraction for Kids" by Philadelphia Magazine. It has also been one of the aspects of the ballpark that has led to America's Classic Ballpark being named as "Best Family Destination" in 2012 by Berks County Living during its annual "Best of Berks" series and the Top Minor League Baseball destination in all of Pennsylvania according to Stadium Journey.
