The Reading Fightin Phils fell to the Harrisburg Senators 8-2 on Wednesday night. The series is now tied at one win apiece.

Vito Friscia and Kevin Vicuna both had two hit nights.

Harrisburg got on the board first with a solo shot by Daniel Johnson.

The game was quiet until the Senators tacked on another two in the fifth. With the bases loaded and two outs, an error from McCarthy Tatum allowed Omar Merigildo to cross. Then Israel Pineda singled home Darren Baker to make it 3-0.

Harrisburg exploded for five runs in the seventh, capped off with a three-run blast thanks to Meriglido.

The Fightins got two back in the eighth. Vicuna singled to reach and Wendell Rijo doubled to put two runners in scoring position. Aldrem Corredor sent aa ball deep to the left center corner to plate them both. Reading trailed 8-2 and that’s where it ended.

Carlo Reyes took two to start the game. His only run allowed was the homer.

Erik Miller took two clean himself. The lefty let up just two hits and a walk but struck out two.

Andrew Schultz had a frame of work allowing two runs, unearned, on three hits.

Matt Seelinger threw a clean sixth, but could not get out of the seventh. The righty left with the bases loaded and no outs. His final line was four runs on four hits.

Billy Sullivan came in for relief. He got the outs he needed but allowed a home run. He was only credited for the batter since the other runners were inherited.

Jack Perkins threw a 1-2-3 ninth on 14 pitches.
