In the next coming weeks, Rip It Baseballtown Charities will be hosting a slew of clinics led by NCAA All-American Bekah Slattery and former Fightin’s Greg Edge and Domonic Brown. In addition, private and group lessons are available as well as access to the batting cages and tunnels through ripit.org.

Bekah Slattery is amid her Intro to Pitching, Softball Clinics through Rip It. She will continue with two more popular dates of October 3th and October 17th. Both will run from 10:15-11:15AM. The clinic is available for all ages and will focus on pitching. Bekah will also be leading a fundamental hitting and fielding clinic also on the 3rd and 17th from 11:30AM-12:30PM. This will be geared for ages 8-12. Her veteran hitting and fielding clinic will follow on those same days from 12:45-1:45PM for ages 13 and up. A Daniel Boone graduate, Lock Haven University Pitcher of the Year, and assistant coach at Shepherd University, Bekah focuses on good communication and individualistic styles throughout her lessons.

Domonic Brown will be hosting a Hitting Clinic on October 8th and October 15th. It will run for 6-7PM for ages 8-12. Brown will lead another section from 7-8PM for ages 13 and up. Dom was a former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star and Reading Fightin Phils great. A great hitter during his time playing baseball, Dom is focused on his athlete’s ‘approach,’ helping them to become students of the game. He likes to develop their mental strength, while making sure everyone has fun and enjoys the game.

Greg Edge, the King of Baseballtown, is a special part of the Reading baseball community and an impressive coach. He will be running a fielding and hitting clinic on November 16th and 23rd from 6-7PM for ages 13 and up. Greg has long been a staple of the R-Phils, first as an infielder in the 80’s and now as a member of the stadium’s Clean Team. He is also a part of the Berks County Bulls coaching staff. ‘Edger,’ as he’s known, has extensive baseball knowledge and incredible teaching skills. Greg Edge has found a way to pass his love of the game onto the youth in our local community.
