Serna's two-run home run swats B-Mets

KC Serna hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the 8th

KC Serna hit a go-ahead two-run home run off Binghamton Mets (14-14) starter Tyler Pill (2-3) in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Reading (20-11) a 5-3 lead. Gregory Infante (1-0) earned his first win as he tossed two scoreless innings to close out the game and give the Fightins the 5-3 win.  

Reading took a 1-0 lead off Binghamton in the bottom of the first inning. Jorge Alfaro hit a one-out RBI off Pill to score Roman Quinn. The B-Mets scored three runs off John Richy in the top of the fifth inning. Pill hit a two-run single and Derrik Gibson hit a sacrifice fly that gave the Mets a 3-1 lead.

The Fightin Phils tied the game at 3-3 off Pill in the bottom of the sixth inning as Angelo Mora and Aaron Brown hit back-to-back RBI singles. Richy left the game after five innings as he allowed three runs off four hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Hoby Milner tossed two scoreless innings in relief of Richy.  

Dylan Cozens left the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Serna took over in right-field in the top of the fifth inning. It was his first career appearance in right-field. Alfaro finished the game at 3-for-4 with two singles and a double.
