(Reading, PA) - YouTube sensation and baseball superfan Zack Hample returns to FirstEnergy Stadium on Saturday, April 25th, when the Reading Fightin Phils host the Portland Sea Dogs with a 6:15 p.m. first pitch.
Fans will have the chance to snag baseballs with Hample during batting practice at the Seidel Auto Group Deck or the Tower Health Pool Pavilion, get autographs, and even have the opportunity to appear in Hample's YouTube video. The night will also feature a post-game fireworks show, thanks to Penn State Health St. Joseph Downtown Campus.
Special pregame VIP Meet & Greet tickets with a limited-edition Zack Hample bobblehead are available for $30. Space is limited, and each VIP guest is guaranteed to meet Hample prior to the game, receive an autograph and photo with him, and take home the exclusive bobblehead, in addition to the ticket to the April 25th game.
Fans also have the option of purchasing a limited-edition Zack Hample bobblehead plus R-Phils game ticket for $25. Hample will also move about the stadium during the game, giving fans additional opportunities to interact with him.
Both packages are available now for purchase by visitinghttps://www.ticketreturn.com/prod2/Buy.asp?EventID=301897.
Hample has caught over 11,000 baseballs and has attended games at 57 different Major League stadiums, including 28 that are now defunct or not typically used for Major League Baseball, such as the Tokyo Dome and the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Some of his most famous catches include Mike Trout's first career home run and Alex Rodriguez's 3,000th hit. Hample has 21 videos with more than one million views on YouTube. This will be his second appearance at America's Classic Ballpark.
"Last year I attended 88 Major League Baseball games and only one Minor League game," Hample says. "That one Minor League game was in Reading, and it was so fun that I decided to visit again in 2020. I can't wait to see familiar faces and meet lots of new people. And the food! Oh man. And getting in early for batting practice and interacting with the players and everything else - so many things to look forward to."
In addition to his YouTube fame, the native New Yorker holds world records on half a dozen classic arcade video games and is also the author of three books - How to Snag Major League Baseballs, Watching Baseball Smarter, and The Baseball. Hample also runs a business called "Watch With Zack," where fans can attend a game with him, and he guarantees catching at least one baseball.
Fans are welcome to enter the stadium at 4 p.m. to snag baseballs with Hample at the Seidel Auto Group Deck and the Tower Health Pool Pavilion during batting practice. No special ticket is required; all fans with a ticket to the night's game will have access to this exclusive opportunity. Batting practice that night for the visiting Portland Sea Dogs and the Fightin Phils is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. until just before 5:30 p.m.
