Redbirds Release 2014 Promotional Calendar

Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale Tomorrow At 10am

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds are excited to announce the action-packed promotional calendar for AutoZone Park's 15th Anniversary season in 2014, consisting of numerous fireworks extravaganzas and premium giveaways, the return of Friday block parties, multiple group theme nights, and the most comprehensive entertainment value in the Mid-South.

The 72-game home schedule features 14 spectacular fireworks shows at AutoZone Park, including every Saturday home game and two on Memorial Day and Independence Day weekends. Complete fireworks dates are as follows: April 12, April 19, May 10, May 17, May 24, May 25, June 7, June 14, June 28, July 4, July 5, July 19, August 9, and August 23.

Again this season on Fridays, the popular end-of-the-week Block Parties will return to the plaza at AutoZone Park, offering live music and beer specials until game time. Gates will open two hours before first pitch. Concert artists will be released in the near future.

Giveaways for fans of all ages are scheduled for every Friday at AutoZone Park throughout 2014. Four commemorative bobbleheads are at the forefront of the giveaway slate, highlighted by 2013 Cardinals Minor League Player of the Year Kolten Wong (May 16), Hall of Famer Stan Musial (June 6), 2013 National League Championship Series MVP Michael Wacha (July 18), and top Cardinals' pitching prospect Carlos Martinez (August 22).

Jake the Diamond Dog makes his way back to AutoZone Park on April 13, coinciding with the Redbirds' fifth annual Bark in the Ballpark, offering $1.00 hot dogs and free admission for dogs with paid owners. Discounted $1.00 hot dogs will also be available for purchase on Frank-N-Stein Night on August 8, as fans take home a Redbirds Beer Stein.

The Redbirds are home on five major holidays in 2014: Easter (April 20), Mother's Day (May 11), Memorial Day (May 26), Father's Day (June 15), and Independence Day (July 4).

The Redbirds will be wearing blue-and-gold Egyptian-themed jerseys with Memphis spelled in hieroglyphs on June 7 for Tribute To Memphis, Egypt Night. Fans will have the opportunity enjoy postgame fireworks, then bid on that night's game-worn jerseys during a live postgame auction on the plaza.

Among other highlighted ballpark promotions are Organ Donor Night (April 19), Girl Scout Campout (May 30), Trading Card Set giveaway (June 7), Summer Camp Day (June 12), Rockey's Birthday Celebration (July 20), and Guaranteed Win Night (August 10).

Daily, value-oriented promotions of note also fill the 2014 calendar, including the return of TWO-sdays, Block Party Fridays, Signature Saturdays, and Kids Run the Bases Sundays.
