Reno, Nevada - Game one of the four-game set against the Memphis Redbirds could have gone better for the Biggest Little baseball team. Memphis defeated Reno by a score of 10-4 thanks to 18 total hits and a five-run eighth inning. The loss drops the Aces to an overall record of 26-34 on the year and improves the Redbirds to 26-36. Juniel Querecuto led the way offensively for Reno, finishing 4-for-5 with a double. Edmundo Sosa finished a single shy of the cycle (3-for-6) and all but two Memphis starters recorded a hit. Right-hander Taylor Widener will face off tomorrow night against the St. Louis Cardinals top prospect Alex Reyes. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. and gates are scheduled to open at 5:35 p.m.

His youngest son, Kevin Cron, hit his first Major League home run in a Diamondbacks 8-2 victory over the Blue Jays. C.J. Cron, Kevin's older brother, also hit his first career home run in Toronto (May 10, 2014). Chris has two career Major League hits. Both of which came while playing in the city of Toronto.
