"The most memorable moment of my father was when he was catching in the Venezuelan winter league. It was in the 2nd inning and there was a play at home, so the runner scoring crushed my dad. He went down and started feeling pain in his knee.

"The most memorable moment of my father was when he was catching in the Venezuelan winter league. It was in the 2nd inning and there was a play at home, so the runner scoring crushed my dad. He went down and started feeling pain in his knee. When they made the 3rd out of the inning, the trainer checked his knee and it was broken, so the manager wanted to take him out and put in another catcher but my dad wouldn't allow it. So, he finished the game with a broken knee and that night after the game they took my dad to the hospital where he had surgery the next day. I was so young when it happened."

"My dad was the coach of my travel baseball team from the ages 10-15. During that span he brought a small town team from North Dakota 5 state championships and 3 Midwest regional championships. We went to 3 Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth World Series. Being able to travel the country with him and experience that type of success was unforgettable, and gave us countless lifelong memories along the way."
Taylor Clarke, Pitcher
"I just remember him being there for every single game I had growing up. From Little League all the way through college, I think he missed only about 5 games. So, I would just say him being there for everything and his support of my baseball development and career has played a huge role/impact in my life. Also, getting a chance to pitch in front of him in my hometown the day before Father's Day last year. We were at the Nationals, where we live 30 minutes from and I grew up, so that was a special moment being able to take all that in with him and the rest of the family."

"My most memorable moment was a simple hug from my dad after we had just lost to UF in the College World Series Super Regionals. The MLB draft had just ended and I had not gotten drafted. I am not sentimental by any means, but that moment, that hug, provided comfort and strength for the unknown that would soon follow.
