The Rainiers scored at least one run in each of the first six innings of Saturday's ballgame against the Aces in route to a 9-7 win. A sacrifice fly in the first inning off the bat of Tim Lopes and another one off the bat of 2019 Pacific Coast League All-Star Ian Miller in the second gave Tacoma a 2-1 lead after two. They would add two more in the third courtesy of a two-run double from Jaycob Brugman to increase the lead to 4-1. It was 6-1 after five innings, that's when the Aces made it interesting with a four-spot in the top of the sixth. Yasmany Tomás hit a solo home run in the inning and Josh Prince brought in two more runners with a double. Carlos Asuaje immediately singled in Prince to bring the score to 6-5. However, Rainiers' first basemen, Ryan Court, gave Tacoma all the run support the team needed with a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth. The Aces added a run in the seventh and one in the ninth, but the comeback attempt ultimately fell short. Starter Anthony Misiewicz picked up the win for Tacoma throwing 5.2 innings while allowing five runs on eight hits. Taylor Widener earned the loss for Reno going 3.1 innings while surrendering five runs. Righty Joel Payamps will start for the Aces tomorrow in the series finale as Reno looks to split the series with first pitch slated for 1:35 p.m. PT.

Notes & Information
Welcome Back, Joel: Righty Joel Payamps will make his first start for Reno since the third game of the season on April 6th against Fresno. Payamps went four innings that day earning a loss allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits to go with one walk and four strikeouts. Payamps is coming off the injured list after dealing with a fracture in his foot. Payamps was rehabbing in Double-A Jackson prior to his promotion going 3-4 with a 2.88 ERA over 40.2 innings pitched in seven starts. The hard-throwing right-hander is on the Arizona Diamondbacks' 40-man roster.
Damage: Yasmany Tomás and Carlos Asuaje both homered in tonight's game. It was the 30th home run in 12 games against Tacoma this season, the most against any team. The Rainiers have hit 13 against Reno this season. The Aces have 29 home runs against both Albuquerque and Las Vegas so far this year. However, the team has played all 16 scheduled games against the Isotopes already this season. They have only played 13 against Las Vegas. They will complete that season series against the Aviators with a three-game set in Vegas August 19-21.
Take it Easy, Ryan: Tacoma infielder, Ryan Court, is batting .293 with six home runs, 30 RBIs, and 22 runs scored this season with Tacoma in 26 games. Against the Aces alone, he is hitting .390 (16-for-41) with four home runs, 18 RBIs, and 14 runs scored in 12 games played.
