Zack Bayrouty Named New Voice of the Reno Aces

The Reno Aces have found their new voice, Zack Bayrouty.
Bayrouty will serve as the Director of Broadcasting and call all 140 Aces games heard on Fox Sports 630 AM throughout the season. He is the second lead broadcaster in club history though his voice may sound familiar. Bayrouty got his first taste calling baseball games in the Biggest Little City a season ago standing in for nine games in July.

"The idea of filling Ryan Radtke's role was nothing short of terrifying," Aces President Eric Edelstein said. "The amount of talent who applied was both overwhelming and exciting. Ultimately, we believe that Zack Bayrouty is the perfect storyteller to inspire a new generation of Aces fans. We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome him to the Biggest Little City."

The dedication to this craft is undeniable and we did not take this decision lightly," Aces General Manager Emily Jaenson said. "We had the pleasure of working with Zack this past season and his talent and professionalism left a lasting impression. Ultimately, he rose to the top of the candidate pool and we are thrilled to welcome Zack as the next voice of the Reno Aces."

Bayrouty joins the Aces after spending the last 14 seasons as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Stockton Ports (High-A, Oakland Athletics) of the California League. He recently made his Major League debut on Sept. 3, 2019 when he was tabbed by the A's to fill in for Ken Korach and work alongside Vince Cotroneo when the A's hosted the Los Angeles Angels. He was also the television play-by-play broadcaster for Ports games that aired on Comcast Hometown Network from 2009-2013, including a game that aired on MLB Network on June 29, 2010. 
In addition to his work with the Ports, Bayrouty serves as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for the University of the Pacific men's basketball team (West Coast Conference), a position he's held for 10 seasons.

A native of Worcester, Mass., Bayrouty earned his degree from the School of Journalism at Northeastern University in Boston in 2005. He began his career in baseball as the Media Relations and Press Box Coordinator at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla. in 2005. 
Bayrouty will be introduced in person for the first time as the team's voice at the Rotary Club of Reno's sixth annual "Hot Stove Luncheon" set for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at Silver Legacy - Silver Baron A where he will interview Orlando Hudson and Josh Barfield in front of a packed house.
