I bought tickets in 2020, how do I redeem them for a 2021 game?

You will have early access to redeem your 2020 tickets for 2021 games from Monday, April 12 at 9 a.m. through Friday, April 16 at 5 p.m. Once the priority window has closed, you will still be able to redeem your 2020 vouchers and credits for 2021 tickets. You can exchange them in person at the Flying Squirrels front office (3001 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd) or over the phone (804-359-3866). Tickets are based on availability for each game.

When will tickets go on-sale?

Individual game tickets for the first four homestands of the 2021 will go on sale on Monday, April 19 at 9 a.m. The remaining homestands will go on sale at a later date. We encourage fans to follow our social media channels and check SquirrelsBaseball.com for updates.

How can I purchase tickets for this year?

Click here to purchase tickets online. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Flying Squirrels front office or over the phone during business hours. Tickets may be available on the day of the game at The Diamond’s ticket booths, but with limited capacity to start the season, advance purchase is recommended.

What is the capacity for fans in 2021?

As of April 1, Commonwealth of Virginia health and safety guidelines allow for outdoor venues to open at 30 percent total capacity, which for The Diamond is 2,943 fans.

Will I need to wear a mask in the stadium?

In accordance with Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, all fans will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all times except while actively eating or drinking or if a health condition precludes you from doing so.

How will giveaways work?

Promotional giveaways will continue to be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis during the 2021 season. While waiting in line to receive a giveaway item, fans must wear a mask or face covering, maintain social distancing and adhere to all other health and safety protocols.

I won a pack of tickets in 2020. How do I redeem them for 2021?

Once single game tickets are put on sale, you will be able to redeem your 2020 ticket package for 2021 games. You can exchange in person at the Flying Squirrels front office (3001 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard) or over the phone (804-359-3866). Tickets are based on availability for each game.

I bought tickets for Opening Night and/or July 4 in 2020, will they be good for those games in 2021?

Tickets to any game will be based on availability. Because of capacity limitations, we cannot guarantee tickets purchased last year for a specific game date such as Opening Night and/or July 4 will be available this year. People with a 2020 ticket credit on file will receive the opportunity to reserve game tickets before single game tickets go on sale to the public. The early reservation time frame for the first four homestands is April 12-16. The early reservation time frame for the remaining homestands is to be determined.

How do I bring a group out in 2021?

The landscape may look a bit different for groups, but we are still excited to have groups out at The Diamond in 2021. Contact the Flying Squirrels Group Sales department to discuss your next outing (804-359-3866).

Will there be Kids Run the Bases or Catch on the field?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only authorized personnel are currently allowed on the field before, during and after games. Be on the lookout for special non-game events to allow Squirrel Tails Kids Club members access to the field for where kids are able to run the bases and play catch on the field.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance, or can I walk up on gameday?

You do not need to purchase in advance, but with a limited capacity to start the season, it is recommended. If tickets are not sold out in advance, tickets will be available for walk up purchase on game day.

Will the stadium capacity change throughout the season?

Stadium capacity will be determined by state health and safety guidelines as well as Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols. These guidelines are subject to change at the direction of local, state and national health professionals.

Will I be able to get autographs signed?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only authorized personnel are currently allowed within 12 feet of on-field players and staff before, during and after games.

Can I bring bags into the stadium?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only medical bags and manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.

Are dogs still allowed for Bark in the Park?

Yes, dogs will be permitted during Wine & K-9s events on Wednesdays throughout the 2021 season.

Am I able to eat & drink in my seat?

Yes, you are allowed to eat and drink in your seat. We ask that you wear a mask or face covering while not actively eating or drinking and maintain a 6-foot distance from other fans who are not part of your household or group.

Will there be fireworks in 2021?

Yes, there will be fireworks during the 2021 season. A complete 2021 promotional schedule will be released soon.

I was interested in singing the National Anthem in 2020, how do I sign up for 2021?

Singers interested in performing the National Anthem at a Flying Squirrels game are asked to contact Bailey Johnson ([email protected]) to arrange for a virtual audition. A member of the Flying Squirrels staff will be in touch with National Anthem singers who were scheduled to perform during the 2020 season about rescheduling to a date during the 2021 season. All National Anthem performances will take place virtually at the start of the season.

How do I redeem a certificate to throw a first pitch? Is that allowed this year?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only authorized personnel are currently allowed on the field before, during and after games. If you are unable to throw out a ceremonial first pitch this year, your certificate will be honored for the 2022 season.

Are Nutzy & Nutasha going to be able to interact with fans?

Nutzy and Nutasha will be available outside the Squirrels Nest Team Store to greet and pose for photos with fans during each Flying Squirrels home game.

If it rains, will the rain delay policy stay the same?

Yes, if a Flying Squirrels game is postponed due to inclement weather with less than 4 ½ innings completed, tickets can be used as rain checks for another 2021 regular season home game based on availability.

Can my child sign up for baseball camp in 2021?

We will have more information about potential baseball camp dates later in the summer.

Can we play on-field contests this year?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only authorized personnel are currently allowed on the field before, during and after games; however, there will be opportunities for fans to participate in various in-game contests throughout each game.

Will there be group nights like Scout Nights, Faith Nights, etc.?

I have a Silver Squirrels, Great 8 or other mini-plan from 2020. How do I use that for 2021?

If you have a Silver Squirrels package from 2020, a Flying Squirrels representative will be contacting you directly once the Silver Squirrels program is set up for 2021. Once single game tickets are put on sale, you will be able to redeem your 2020 ticket package for 2021 games. You can exchange in person at the Flying Squirrels front office (3001 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard) or over the phone (804-359-3866). Tickets are based on availability for each game.

Will printed copies of the Nutshell be available or will it be digital only?

A limited number of printed editions of the Nutshell will be available each homestand, while supplies last. Fans can obtain a printed copy of the Nutshell on game days from the rolling stands located at the front gates of The Diamond. A digital version of the Nutshell can be found here.

Will you be accepting cash at concession stands, carts and the team store?

While we will be accepting cash at the concession stands, food and beverage carts and the Squirrels Nest Team Store; however, fans are encouraged to use credit or debit cards for faster, contactless transactions.

Will I be able to enter the stadium early to watch batting practice?

Due to Major League Baseball COVID-19 health and safety protocols, only authorized personnel are allowed in The Diamond prior to gates opening. Gates open an hour before scheduled first pitch unless otherwise specified. Only authorized personnel are allowed within 12 feet of on-field players and staff before, during and after games.
