RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels will hold their 5th Annual Ballpark Warming Party on Saturday, November 9th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Diamond. The Squirrels will once again partner with Puritan Cleaners to aid the Coats for Kids Drive, which collects coats throughout the month of November for Central Virginia families in need.
For each coat donated at the Ballpark Warming Party, fans will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win prizes and one-of-a-kind experiences from the Flying Squirrels and additional community partners. The party will feature live music throughout from Sons of Zebedee.
"The Ballpark Warming Party was the first community program the Squirrels were involved with when we arrived in Richmond," said Squirrels' Vice President & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "This event, and the great people at Puritan Cleaners, hold a very special place in our heart. We look forward to this event each year with the goal of topping the number of coats we have received in years past."
Richmond baseball fans will have an extremely unique opportunity during the Ballpark Warming Party this year. The 1989 Richmond Braves, who claimed the Governor's Cup as the champions of the International League, will be holding a reunion at The Diamond in conjunction with the event.
