First 25 fans to place orders can have the mascot deliver Valentines on Feb. 12, 13 or 14
January 25, 2013

It's the time of year for Rascal the River Bandit to set down his bat and glove to don Cupid's bow and arrow. The Quad Cities' favorite raccoon is offering his Valentine delivery services to the first 25 people to place orders for Rascal's Sweetheart Special packages that celebrate Valentine's Day the River Bandits way.

For just $35, the River Bandits mascot will paw-deliver a personalized card and any of three packages between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, Wednesday, Feb. 13, or Thursday, Feb. 14, to the workplace or residence of a special someone within a 25-mile radius from Modern Woodmen Park.

"Rascal's Sweetheart Special is the perfect gift to warm a loved one's Valentine's Day with a look forward to baseball season," said River Bandits owner Dave Heller. "Your loved one will receive a truly memorable Valentine when Rascal appears at his or her home or office to deliver a unique surprise."

The Sweetheart Special comes in the following three packages, each of which is $35:

  • River Bandits Romeo: A set of River Bandits golf balls and two Lower Box Seat Vouchers to any 2013 River Bandits home game.
  • Bandit Beauty: A box of chocolates, a red swirls logo ball and two Lower Box Seat Vouchers to any 2013 River Bandits home game.
  • Lil' Cupid: A package of candy, a River Bandits 2011 All-Star Game Logo baseball and a 2013 Kids Club membership, including a free ticket for a child 14 or younger to all 2013 River Bandits home games.

To reserve one of the packages of Rascal's Sweetheart Special, call Brittany Carter at 563-333-2736. Only the first 25 orders will be accepted.

UP NEXT: Now is the time to reserve a table at the Valentine's Day Dinner at Modern Woodmen Park. Choose any of three nights - Feb. 14, 15 or 16 - to enjoy a gourmet four-course dinner in a private luxury suite or take in the spectacular views of the ballpark, Centennial Bridge, Mississippi River and downtown Davenport from a table in the glass-enclosed, climate-controlled Sky Deck. A reservation begins at just $65 per couple. Call Andrea Nolan or Shauna Learn at 563-324-3000 or email [email protected] or [email protected]. Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

ABOUT THE BANDITS: The River Bandits are currently planning one of the biggest improvements to Modern Woodmen Park since Main Street Baseball first bought the team. A new affiliate, the chance to see last year's No. 1 overall draft pick, Carlos Correa, and a stunning new improvement will make this season one every fan will not want to miss!
