CHARLESTON, SC - RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols has announced that Kristina Wilkins has been promoted to Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, joining the RiverDogs front office staff full-time in advance of the 2017 season.

Already familiar with the club, Wilkins has been a part of the RiverDogs team since 2013 working under Food & Beverage Director Josh Shea in a seasonal position as a food and beverage manager, assisting in the RiverDogs' famed culinary exploits at The Joe.

"The food and beverage division is one of the most important parts of our fan experience, especially in a foodie town like Charleston, and I am confident Kristina will be an excellent addition to our front office staff," said Echols. "With her three years of management experience in our food and beverage department already, her transition to a full-time role should be seamless and our fans can expect the same creativity and ingenuity in our food offerings at The Joe this year."

A native of James Island, Wilkins brings prior experience working for the Charleston County Parks and Rec Department prior to her time with the RiverDogs.

Wilkins becomes the next member of a food & beverage division operated by Shea that has been lauded nationally by the likes of Rachel Ray, Adam Richman, The Bob & Tom Show, Southern Living and a host of others.

The RiverDogs' fondness for pushing the envelope has led to fan favorite classics including the "Homewrecker" foot-long dog, Kitchen Sink Nachos, and beer shakes along with a host of new food items in 2016 including the Shrimp-N-Grit Corn Dog, Chicken-N-Double Waffle Burger, and Deep Fried Pecan Pie Cheesecake on a Stick. The Food & Beverage division will announce a number of new featured items coming to The Joe leading up to the 2017 season.

RiverDogs season tickets, half-season ticket packages and mini plans are now available for the 2017 campaign. The RiverDogs begin the season on April 6 when they host the Lexington Legends at Joseph P Riley, Jr. Park. Ticket information can be secured by contacting the box office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com
