RiverDogs Opener Against Legends Postponed

Series, homestand to begin with Wednesday doubleheader at 6:05pm at Riley Park

CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs and the Lexington Legends were postponed due to rain on Tuesday evening at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. This three-game series and seven-game RiverDogs homestand will start on Wednesday with a doubleheader that is scheduled for 6:05pm. There will be two seven-inning contests in the twin bill.

Tickets for Tuesday's contest may be exchanged at the Riley Park Box Office to any remaining RiverDogs home game in 2014. Video and audio coverage for Wednesday's doubleheader will start on www.riverdogs.com shortly before the 6:05pm first pitch. 1250 WTMA will pick up the radio coverage at 7pm.

BALLPARK FUN: The RiverDogs started HOPE Week 2014 with Warriors 4 Warriors. Players helped put together care packages and deliver them to women currently receiving breast cancer treatment. There was also a make-over session at the ballpark through the Warriors Wear Lipstick program.

COMING UP: The RiverDogs and the Legends will start a Wednesday doubleheader at 6:05pm. The projected starters are Charleston's LHP Omar Luis (2-2, 6.04 ERA) and RHP Gabe Encinas (0-1, 13.50 ERA) and Lexington's RHP Jake Junis (8-4, 3.53 ERA) and LHP Cody Reed (2-7, 5.92 ERA). It is Health South Wednesday, sponsored by MeTV. All senior citizens who enter the ballpark before 6pm will receive a food voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips, and a 16-ounce fountain drink.
