Chambliss, who won the 1971 Rookie of the Year and hit the game-winning home run for the Yankees in the 1976 ALCS, will be signing autographs from 6-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8 pm presented by High Falls Advisors.
Each season, the Rochester Red Wings offer their fans the opportunity to get a FREE autograph from former Major League Baseball and NFL stars, as part of our promotional schedule. Over the past few years, Wings fans have enjoyed appearances by Baseball Hall of Famers Paul Molitor, Rich "Goose" Gossage, Bert Blyleven, Dennis Eckersley and Rollie Fingers as well as and former big league stars including Jim Rice, Fred Lynn, Dave Stewart, Doc Gooden, Darryl Strawberry and many more. Red Wings fans have also had the chance to meet non-baseball celebrities such as Mike Eruzione, the Hanson Brothers, Dennis Haskins, Jim Kelly and others.
To ensure that as many fans as possible have the chance to meet our special guests and get an autograph, fans are reminded that:
- There is a limit of one autograph per fan.
- There will be a posted time frame for the autograph sessions (listed below).
- Time does not permit fans to ask to pose for individual photos with our guests.
- There may be a restriction on what type of items will be signed and personal inscriptions are at the sole discretion of our guest.
- The autograph session will take place regardless of the weather, and regardless of whether the game is delayed or played. The gates will open at the scheduled time regardless of the weather conditions.
2018 Autograph Appearances
The former Buffalo Bills kicker - who ranks third amongst Bills in all-time scoring with 670 career points - will sign autographs from 6-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8 pm presented by Legacy Financial Planning!
Baseball's last 30-game winner will sign autogrpahs at Frontier Field on July 19 and July 20! McLain won 31 games in 1968 on his way to winning the 1968 Cy Young and AL MVP award. He would go on to win the Cy Young award again in 1969.
The Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame running back with sign autographs from 6 - 6:45 pm in the Red Wings Hall of Fame courtesy of Batavia Downs Gaming and Hotel. Thomas will not personalize or inscript any items.
Former Mets and Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine will be here to sign autographs from 6-6:45 pm and 7:15-8 pm courtesy of the Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers. We're encouraging all fans to come dressed in Bobby V. disguise.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will sign from 6-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8 pm courtesy of Airport Transmission and Cricket Wireless. We also have 1,000 bobbleheads of Mick wearing a Red Wings flannel to giveaway.
Chauncey Leopardi, who played Squints in "The Sandlot", will sign autographs from 6-6:45 pm and from 7:15-8 pm as part of our Salute to "The Sandlot" Night presented by AT&T, John Betlem Heating and Cooling and Jolly Time Popcorn.
Gar Ryness - The Batting Stance Guy - will be at Frontier Field on Friday, May 25 as part of our first-ever Comedy Night presented by The Comedy at the Carlson. The Batting Stance Guy will perform between innings and before the fireworks show along with local comedians. Ryness is known world-wide for his spot-on impersonations of Major League players batting stances from any era!
David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne in the hit TV show Gotham on Fox, will sign and pose for photos from 6-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8:00 pm presented by Wesley Gardens Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, The Brickwood Grill and The Exchange, Airport Transmission, 98.9 The Buzz and FOX Rochester. Fans will need to purchase autograph and/or photo tickets for this appearance once inside the gates on June 23.
The world's most famous weatherman along with a host of his tuxedoed and top-hatted handlers will be available for photos (and perhaps a weather tip or two) as part of our Salute to "Groundhog Day" Night celebrating the 25th anniversary of the timeless Bill Murray classic presented by Pigtails and Crewcuts, M&T Bank, The Exchange and Brickwood Grill! A jersey auction and t-shirt giveaway part of the night as well.
