The first-half North Division Champion Rocket City Trash Pandas are back at Toyota Field to begin the month of August with a six-game series against their North Division rivals, the Tennessee Smokies, Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, from Tuesday, August 2 through Sunday, August 7.

A thrilling week at Toyota Field will begin with a Mini Buzz Bobblehead giveaway on Tuesday, August 2, followed by an appearance by Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act on Wednesday, August 3, Marvel Defenders of the Diamond Night with a Thor jersey auction on Thursday, August 4, fireworks shows on Friday, August 5, and Saturday, August 6, before ending with Kids Run the Bases on August 7.

Tuesday, August 2 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 5 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 4:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
  • Mini Buzz Bobblehead: 1,000 kids ages 17 and under will receive a limited-edition bobblehead of Buzz, the Orange racer that is always in a sprint to the finish in the Trash Pandas’ nightly Astronaut Race, presented by Lexus of Huntsville.
  • Ladies Night: Ladies will have the opportunity to win great prizes and all fans can enjoy $1 off canned wine, sponsored by Reeds Jewelers.

Wednesday, August 3 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 5 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 4:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
  • Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act: Throughout the game, Tyler Scheuer will be wowing fans with an incredible performance, balancing wheelbarrows, bikes, ladders, and more on his face while dancing to music and engaging the crowd. Tyler is bringing his act to the Rocket City and has been previously seen on America’s Got Talent, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, ESPN, and many more outlets.
  • IDEXX Labs Dog Day: Fans can bring their furry friends to Toyota Field and sit with them on the Budweiser Berm. A $1 donation per dog is requested, benefitting Sartec K-9 Unit. At the Bullpen Bar, fans can now purchase a pup cup for $5, a great treat of whipped cream for dogs to enjoy throughout the game.
  • Player of the Month: The Trash Pandas will announce the Blue Orbit Player of the Month of July in a special pre-game ceremony on the field.

Thursday, August 4 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 5 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 4:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
  • Marvel Defenders of the Diamond Night: Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Marvel Superhero for Thursday’s game, and Marvel Characters will be available for photos before the game.
  • Thor Jersey Auction: As part of Marvel Defenders of the Diamond Night, the Trash Pandas will be wearing specialty Thor themed jerseys for Thursday’s game. The jersey auction will be IN-PERSON ONLY, with fans able to bid in a silent auction at Toyota Field at a table on the concourse. Bidding will begin when gates open and conclude at the end of the seventh inning. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tennessee Valley and the Rocket City Trash Pandas foundation. Additionally, a team-signed jersey will be available in a raffle for fans in attendance on August 4. Raffle tickets are three for $5, seven for $10, and 20 for $20.
  • Burgers & Buds Thursday: Fans can get a burger and a Bud or Bud Light for just $12, available at Dumpster Dive, Gravity Grille, or All-Stars concession stands.
  • Happy Hour: From 5-7 p.m., fans can enjoy $3 domestic drafts at the Inline Electric Rock Porch and Bill Penney Toyota Plaza. Tim Cannon will be performing at the Rock Porch before the game.

Friday, August 5 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 5 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 4:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
  • Live Music: Before the game, head to the Inline Electric Rock Porch for a live performance from Sam Lewis.
  • Friday Night Fireworks: Following the game, a dazzling fireworks display will light up the Rocket City sky, presented by Bill Penney Toyota.

Saturday, August 6 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 5 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 4:30 p.m. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
  • Saturday Night Fireworks: Following the game, fireworks will light up the Rocket City sky courtesy of Budweiser.
  • Live Music: Before the game, head to the Inline Electric Rock Porch for live music from Kelly Joyner.

Sunday, August 7 – Trash Pandas vs. Tennessee Smokies

  • Gates Open: All gates will open at 1 p.m. Trustmark VIP Gates open at 12:30 p.m. First pitch is at 2:35 p.m.
  • Stryker Young at Heart Day: As part of a promotion with Minor League Baseball, the Trash Pandas will be giving away clear bags on Sunday, presented by Stryker, the Official SmartRobotics Joint Replacement Partner of MiLB.
  • Kids Run The Bases: All kids are invited to run the bases after the game, presented by The Yard Milkshake Bar. Be sure to listen for an in-stadium announcement prompting those interested to line up at the designated location.

Josh Caray will be on the call for all home games on 103.9 FM The UMP and 730 AM SportsRadio. Home games will also be televised locally on WAAY 31.6, This TV. Check listings for additional carriers.
