RockHounds reliever Darren Byrd and position player Tyler Ladendorf were promoted to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.  Byrd had allowed just two hits in six and 2/3 innings of work so far this season.  The right hander joined the A's organization on March 20th when he came over in a trade with Milwaukee.

Mike DeMark will replace Byrd on the active roster.  DeMark pitched the last two seasons for the Triple-A Reno Aces.  He will join the team from extended Spring Training in Arizona.

Tyler Ladendorf will get his third shot at Triple-A after a pair of brief appearances in 2010 and 2011.  The Illinois native had just 10 at bats for the RockHounds this season.

The active roster stands at 23.

The RockHounds finish up their three game series with the NW Arkansas Naturals on Saturday night and then begin another three game series with the Arkansas Travelers at 4:00 PM on Sunday.  Tickets for the remaining four games of the home stand are still available.
