Weather Policy

If the weather is questionable, what do I do?
First, it is helpful to keep in mind there are many instances when it may be raining in some parts of Colorado Springs, but it may not be raining at the ballpark.

If it's raining at UCHealth Park before the start of the game:
Our award-winning grounds crew is hard at work protecting the field against the elements. Because of this, if the rain stops before the game's scheduled start time, the game will continue as planned. If the rain continues into the scheduled game time, management may invoke a rain delay.

If it begins to rain during the game:
Our grounds crew will quickly cover the infield with a large tarp. At that time, game officials will work with local weather outlets to ascertain the immediate weather outlook. If game officials feel the inclement weather will pass, a rain delay is put into effect. At the point game officials feel the inclement weather will not pass in a reasonable amount of time, an official rainout is announced.

In the event five (5) innings of a game are not completed (*except when the home team is in the lead at the end of four and a half (4 1/2) innings) your ticket will be good for any regular season game (*exclusions apply) and may be exchanged at the Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value subject to availability. No refunds, no exchanges of expired tickets, except as outlined above, are available. No exchanges will be made for complimentary tickets. There are no rain check privileges associated with the second game of a doubleheader.

If you are scheduled for a group outing and less than five (5) innings (or four and a half if the Vibes are ahead) are played, you have three options:
- Call your representative to reschedule your group outing for another game during the season. Tickets must be exchanged in advance of the new date for your group. No refunds will be given. Tickets may be upgraded upon availability.
- Group members may retain their tickets and exchange them individually for a future regular season game in accordance with the individual ticket policy outlined above.
- Tickets can be donated to the Community Relations Department to be distributed to local charitable youth organizations on your behalf. Contact Crystal Mazeyfor additional details.

Note: If a game is called due to inclement weather or other circumstances after five innings have been played, a game is considered "official." In this case, there will be no ticket exchanges.

  • Rain Delay - A game that is under a rain delay is in an official delay but will resume play later that day. Tickets cannot be exchanged in the event of a rain delay.
  • Rainout/Postponement - A game that is rained out or postponed will not be played that day due to inclement weather. In the event of a rainout or postponement, your ticket will be good for any regular season game (*exclusions apply) and may be exchanged at the Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value subject to availability.
