Annual Celebrity Shootout Golf Tournament November 11

October 4, 2016

The Rome Braves & Floyd County Police Department announce the Eighth Annual Celebrity Shootout Golf Tournament on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Stonebridge Golf Course. The tournament is set in a scramble format with a shotgun start at 11am and will feature current and former Rome and Atlanta Braves greats. A Par three hole will be deemed the Celebrity Shootout hole where a team can invite a celebrity to take a shot. Competing teams have the opportunity to purchase an extra shot at the Par 3 hole for the celebrity to hit a shot off the tee. This annual golf tournament has donated over $75,000 to local and National charities.

The proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Animal Rescue Foundation of Rome and Floyd County. Animal Rescue Foundation of Rome Floyd & Floyd County was created in 2011 to provide vetting, facilitation and spray and neuter service for local abandoned animals. They provide transportation from animal control to the vet as well as treatment and stabilization including surgery and medication.

Team fees are $400 and include lunch, post-tournament appetizers and a VIP welcome bag. Individual golfers can register for $100 each. Registration in this tournament qualifies each golfer for special practice rate 14 days prior to the event of $25 (WD) or $35 (WE) and replay rounds of $18 (WD) and $25 (WE). Hole sponsorships are available for local businesses and individuals to show their support. Teams or individuals can register at the Floyd County Police Station or at the ticket office located at State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves. Hole and team sponsorships are available.
