FRISCO, Texas (June 21, 2017) - Another start from Texas Rangers pitcher Cole Hamels and $1 hot dogs conclude an action-packed homestand for the Frisco RoughRiders with today's 12:05 p.m. game against the Midland RouchHounds at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The Rangers announced Monday that Hamels is scheduled to make a second Major League rehabilitation start for the RoughRiders against Midland. Hamels made his first rehab start for the RoughRiders on Friday, working three scoreless innings with three strikeouts, while allowing one hit before a crowd of 10,034 at Dr Pepper Ballpark. It was his first appearance since April 26, and Hamels threw 35 pitches (25 strikes).
Weiner Wednesday presented by Texas Chili Company features $1 hot dogs for the entire game. It's also Super Splash Day, with fun splash stations located around the ballpark.
Gates for all home games open an hour before first pitch (90 minutes early for Founders Members).
Though it's the end of the homestand, a number of RoughRiders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark on Tuesday, June 27 for the Texas League All-Star Game presented by McAfee. Activities fill the day with gates to Dr Pepper Ballpark opening at 3:30 p.m. for the All-Star Game FanFest presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers and Sephora.
FanFest features live entertainment from Dallas-based country singer/songwriter Adrian Johnston. Fans can also collect All-Star player autographs and watch batting practice. Inflatables and other activities will be available for kids.
The Celebrity Softball Game presented by SportsRadio 1310/96.7 FM The Ticket is at 5:15 p.m. and benefits the Michael Young Family Foundation. The Celebrity Softball Game, with teams captained by former Texas Rangers fan favorites Michael Young and David Murphy, includes professional athletes with ties to Dallas-Fort Worth and local media celebrities.

About the RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 12 seasons (2005-2016).
