FRISCO, Texas (May 18, 2017) - The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, rallied back from an early 4-0 hole to defeat the Midland RockHounds 6-5 in the series finale Thursday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS

  • Juremi Profar drove in the game-tying run in the sixth with a double to left field and scored on a fielding error to give the Riders a 5-4 lead. Frisco added another run in the bottom of the seventh on a second RockHounds fielding error, making it 6-4.
  • Trailing 4-0, the Riders rallied for three runs in the bottom of the fifth, cutting the deficit to 4-3. Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Eric Aguilera delivered RBI singles after Juremi Profar came home from third base on a wild pitch.
  • Viosergy Rosa's first inning home run put the RockHounds in front of the Riders 3-0. Midland extended its lead to 4-0 in the fifth on Yairo Muñoz's sacrifice fly.
  • Collin Wiles earned his staff-best fourth win, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
  • Shane McCain worked out of a ninth-inning jam to earn his first save of the season.

  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa: 3-4, double, RBI, run
  • Juremi Profar: 3-4, double, RBI, two runs
  • Jose Cardona: 2-4, run

NEWS AND NOTES
  • The Riders won their first series since April 24-27 when Frisco took three out of four from the San Antonio Missions.
  • Midland starter Corey Walter , who entered having allowed just four earned runs in 33 innings for a league-leading ERA of 1.09, surrendered four more earned runs in 5 1/3 innings Thursday.
  • With two more hits Thursday, Jose Cardona produced his team-leading 15th multi-hit performance. He has multi-hit performances in eight of his last 11 games.
  • Juremi Profar and Isiah Kiner-Falefa each recorded three hits in a game for the second time this season. Profar and Kiner-Falefa each have 13 multi-hit games, tied for second on the team.
