October 20, 2016

FRISCO, TEXAS (October 20, 2016) - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced that the club will host the annual Fall Festival and seat relocation event on Saturday, October 29, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. The free-to-attend event will include fun activities for kids and adults alike while also providing the opportunity for season-ticket members to select a seat location for the upcoming 2017 season.

At the Fall Festival, fans can paint pumpkins, take a hay ride (weather permitting), and play catch on the field. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes, and kids 12-and-under can enter a costume contest in addition to getting their faces painted by professional face painters.

During the event, concessions stands will sell $1.00 beers, Dr Pepper products, hot dogs, nachos, chips, popcorn, and cracker jacks. Both the Primrose Schools and RoughRiders playgrounds will be open along with inflatables, and more.

RoughRiders mascots will be on-hand as well, and Brooks, the Riders Team Dog and Ambassador, will be in attendance.

The Riders Outpost will also be open with select items up to 25% off of their regular, retail price and new items available for the upcoming 2017 season.

During the Fall Festival, the City of Frisco will also be hosting "Frisco Better Block," at Ball Park Plaza, just beyond center field from 9:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. More information on that event can be found at TeamBetterBlock.com/Frisco.

Fans that are unable to attend the Fall Festival but would like to relocate their seats for the 2017 season can contact their ticket sales representative or contact the RoughRiders via e-mail at [email protected] or over the phone at (972) 731-8200.

About the RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 11 seasons (2005-2015). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju. The new ownership group has spearheaded numerous major franchise improvements, from a completely new team identity to massive additions and upgrades to Dr Pepper Ballpark, including a giant new video board, sound system, sports bar, team store, improved food service and menu, and a complete overhaul of in-game entertainment. The improvements earned the Riders and the City of Frisco "Best Ballpark Renovation" of 2015 by Ballpark Digest in the under $6 million category. More than 130 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including All-Stars Chris Davis, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Gonzalez and Ian Kinsler.
